Setting the time and date on a watch with the NH35 movement is straightforward:
First, unscrew the crown from its case to "position 1". This is the hand winding position.
Pull the crown out to "position 2". This allows you to set the date.
Turn the crown to set the desired date. Rotate to change the date.
WARNING:
Avoid resetting the watch "DATE" between approximately 9 PM and 4 AM to prevent damage to the date-change mechanism. This time frame is when the gears are internally engaged to make the date change at midnight, and forcing an adjustment can cause them to jam or break. To safely set the time and date, first, manually set the time to 6 o'clock, then adjust the date to the previous day, and finally advance the time to the correct time and date.
Pull the crown out to "position 3". This stops the seconds hand, allowing for precise time setting (hacking function).
Turn the crown to set the desired time. Rotate clockwise to move the hour and minute hands. Never reverse the hands to set the time
Push the crown back in to start the movement. The seconds hand will resume moving, and your time is set.
This movement is also equipped with the “Seiko Magic Lever” so shaking the watch side to side should get it going almost immediately.
Crown should be screwed in afterwards for effective waterproofing

Your watch is built to last you for many years and in most cases will never need a service.
Lightly clean your watch bracelet with a moist warm cloth making sure the crown of the watch is securely screwed in to keep any excess water out.
Dry and polish with a clean dry cloth.
